You've already tried.

Bitter polish. Bandages. Quiet reminders that turned into loud ones. The bedtime conversation that always ends the same way — your child's thumb back in their mouth before either of you can stop it.

You're not failing. The habit is winning. And you're starting to wonder if anything will ever work.

I know that feeling because I was the child who couldn't stop.

I'm Damien, founder of Proudlings. The Proud Reset System is the kit I wish my parents had had — not because they didn't try, but because what was available back then was either harsh, embarrassing, or built around making the child feel bad enough to quit.

I built Proudlings on a single belief: a child should never have to feel ashamed to outgrow a habit. They should feel proud.

What you can trust

  • Founder-built by someone who lived this
  • Designed specifically for children ages 3–7
  • A 28-night system grounded in habit replacement — not deterrent
  • Safe overnight materials: no chemicals, no tight straps, no bitter agents
  • Dentist-friendly: built on habit-change principles, not behavior shame
  • 28-night money-back guarantee — no questions, no return shipping

Why everything else fails

Most thumb-sucking products treat the symptom and ignore the child.

Bitter polish turns the thumb into something unpleasant. Some children stop. Most just learn to suck through it, or transfer the comfort to fingernails, blankets, or pacifiers.

Plastic thumb guards restrain the hand. They wake children up. They get torn off in the dark. They feel like a punishment because, structurally, they are.

Bandages and gloves alone interrupt the habit physically, but children rarely understand why they're wearing them. Resistance shows up by night two.

Reminders and corrections ("not in your mouth!") add shame to a habit that was already self-soothing. Now the thumb represents both comfort and guilt.

None of these address what the habit actually is: a comfort circuit your child built before they could speak. You don't dismantle a comfort circuit with discomfort. You replace it with something that feels stronger.

The Proud Reset, explained

The Proud Reset is a 28-night system built on a single principle: replace the comfort, don't remove it.

Three things happen in parallel.

Emotional engagement

Your child meets Pip in the illustrated storybook Pip's Proud Thumb before they ever see the glove. They identify with a character who is facing the same challenge. The story does the convincing so you don't have to.

Gentle physical interruption

The Proud Glove sits softly over the thumb at night. It doesn't restrain the hand. It doesn't smell. It doesn't taste. It simply interrupts the automatic motion long enough for the brain to find a new pathway to sleep.

Daily reinforcement

Every proud morning, your child places a sticker on the progress chart. Small visible wins build a new identity — I am the kind of kid who does this. By night 28, the habit isn't being fought. It's been outgrown.

Inside every kit

  • Pip's Proud Thumb — The illustrated storybook every Proud Reset begins with.
  • The Proud Glove — Soft cotton, breathable, designed for overnight use. Small (ages 3–5) and Medium (ages 5–7).
  • 28-Night Progress Chart — A visible record of every proud night.
  • Proud Stars Reward Stickers — One for every proud night.
  • Parent Guidance Deck (8 cards) — Your First Night guide, Words That Help, Proud Glove instructions, gentle reset language, and confidence builders.
  • Certificate of Completion — A finished keepsake your child signs themselves on the morning after night 28.

Small steps. Proud moments.
